Rebel Wilson shares 'struggles with fertility' as filming in Merseyside finishes

Rebel Wilson shared some 'bad news' with fans as she discussed her fertility struggles.

The Pitch Perfect actress has just finished filming in Merseyside for The Almond And The Sea Horse, a feature adaptation of Kaite O’Reilly’s stage play.

But after filming wrapped, Rebel shared some 'bad news'.

Taking to Instagram, Rebel said: "I got some bad news today and didn’t have anyone to share it with...but I guess I gotta tell someone.

"To all the women out there struggling with fertility, I feel ya.

"The universe works in mysterious ways and sometimes it all doesn’t make sense...but I hope there’s light about to shine through all the dark clouds."

Followers and friends of the star rushed to the comments section to support the 41-year-old.

Jillian wrote: "Remember it's ok to feel this way. Sitting with our emotions is important. I hope one day soon things work in your favour."

Mel Watts added: "Sending love."

And Lukas said: "Your vulnerability is inspiring. I hope these droves of supportive messages raise your chin just a little. The dark clouds are only temporary."

Filming for The Almond And The Sea Horse ended yesterday (May 2) with a final scene onboard the dazzle ship Snowdrop with the famous Liverpool waterfront as a backdrop.

Over the past few weeks, the Pitch Perfect star has been spotted at a number of locations around the city centre, including outside Central Library and the World Museum.

And a few days ago, she was spotted taking a dip in the chilly waters of the Marine Lake in West Kirby.

The Almond And The Sea Horse is the story of two couples exploring the impact of a traumatic brain injury on their lives.

The drama will be Wilson's first non-comedy film role.

Andy Evans, Sean Marley and Alex Ashworth from Liverpool-based film and television company, Mad as Birds, are producing the film.
