Rebel Wilson reveals simple exercise that helped her lose 35kg during 'year of health'

Fat Pizza star Rebel Wilson has revealed the easy exercise which helped her to lose 35kg.

The 41-year-old embarked on a 'year of health' in 2020 during which she transformed her figure through hard work and determination.

In seriously impressive stats, Rebel managed to drop a whopping five stone.

Enjoying her new way of life, the actress has now shared her secret to dropping the pounds.

Rebel explained that a doctor at a health retreat had advised her to take up walking, claiming it was the 'best way' for her to lose weight.

"The doctor said to me, 'Rebel, the best way for you to lose unwanted body fat is just simply walking.

"Doesn't have to be high-intensity, doesn't have to be uphill, just moderate walking an hour a day.

"And if you can do that, for you, for your body type, it's, like, the best way to lose unwanted body fat," Rebel explained in an interview with Apple Fitness+.

Despite her stunning transformation the Aussie previously said she wished she 'tried [to lose weight] when I was 30, not 40' .

"Now that I know I can do it, sometimes I feel sad that I didn't do it earlier,' she told InStyle.

However dishing out tips and encouraging anyone looking to start their own health journey, the blonde beauty said 'it's never too late to start.'

'Anyone can go on walks and drink more water and do little, consistent things that'll improve their lives - and it's never too late," she advised.

Rebel kickstarted her 'year of health' at an Austrian health retreat, which focused on flushing 'out every toxic substance possible in all sorts of crazy ways.'

However from then on, the actress said she learned that 'moderate, walking is the best way for me to lose unnecessary body fat.'

The bubbly star said she was an emotional eater, and turned to junk food in times of stress, but radically changed her diet after wanting to improve her health.

“I knew deep down inside that some of the emotional eating behaviours I was doing were not healthy,” she said in a candid post on Instagram last year.

She’s since eased up on her extreme workouts to try and maintain her weight loss, and looked incredible in in a figure-hugging gold dress on New Year’s Eve.

She also struck a pose by her swimming pool sporting a crop top and matching leggings to celebrate the new year..

Rebel captioned the photo: 'Rebel rising', followed the hashtag #2022, showing her commitment to wellness for the upcoming year.
