Rebel Wilson is a pop icon as she transforms into Britney Spears for Crazy video

Rebel Wilson was all about the pop classics as she transformed into Britney Spears to recreate the (You Drive Me) Crazy music video.

The Pitch Perfect star was filming for her new film, Senior Year, and shared a snap from on set.

Taking inspiration from the Oops! I Did It Again singer, she rocked a green sequined top and black trousers.

She wore her hair in loose waves, similar to the 1999 music video.

"My life is CRAZY right now. ps [heart emoji] you Britney," she captioned her Instagram post.

In the background of the snap, a neon sign with the words 'crazy' can be seen along with other chairs presumably there for dancers.

Fans took to the comment section to compliment the star on her Britney transformation.

"You look f**king amazing well done," one impressed fan wrote.

Another commented about her weight loss and said: "Crazy how much weight you’ve lost. You’re such an inspiration to everyone. Well done babes and how have you done it?"

"Omg rebel you look incredible," one other wrote.

The star has been sharing glimpses from behind-the-scenes of her upcoming comedy movie.

According to the synopsis, Senior Year is about a 37-year-old woman who wakes up from a 20-year coma and returns to the high school where she was once a popular cheerleader.

So it's only right to bring Britney songs into it.

The film also stars Clueless star Alicia Silverstone, This Is Us' Justin Hartley, Angourie Rice and Chris Parnell.

All her BTS glimpses had fans complimenting the star over her weight loss.

The 41-year-old actress has documented her journey over the last two years, during which she revealed that she has had an impressive 60-pound weight loss.

Her routine meant she had to cut out sugar, alcohol and caffeine.

Rebel, who splits her time between Sydney and L.A., has described 2020 as her ‘year of health’.

In an interview with InStyle, Rebel said: “Now that I know I can do it, sometimes I feel sad that I didn’t do it earlier.

“Maybe I should have tried when I was 30, not 40. But everybody’s journey is different, and it’s not a race or competition.”
