Actress Rebel Wilson has revealed that she was told to stay at a larger weight by film bosses.
The 40-year-old known for her wit and infectious laugh in Pitch Perfect and Bridesmaids, told fans on Instagram that she wanted to lose weight - and she's well on her way to achieving it.
She set herself the challenge of slimming down to 11st 7lb by the end of the year, working with personal trainer Jono Castano Acero and braving gruelling HIIT workouts.
But now the star has admitted that having a job where she was paid a lot of money to "be bigger" ultimately messed with her head and gave her the push she needed to concentrate on her health, not just physically but mentally.
At the start of this year she told fans: "Okay so for me 2020 is going to be called 'The Year of Health'"
Rebel told The Sun : "Weirdly this year was always going to be the year of health. I've been naming my years now, and, that's kind of having these resolutions but for the whole year."
Reflecting on her years in the industry she added: "I turned 40 as well in March and so I thought, this is gonna be it. This is going to be the year for me to just concentrate on the health benefits.
"It's not like I want to lose weight and get to around a certain number. It's more than that, it's about dealing mentally with with why I was overeating.
"I had a job where I was paid a lot of money to be bigger, at times which kind of can mess with your head a bit."
The star has been praised by fans in recent days after losing just 8lbs in just four days - her results prominent in a snap she posted to Instagram wearing a gorgeous blue dress as she promoted her new show LOL: Last One Standing.
