Rebekah Vardy to star in Dancing on Ice to 'clear her name'

Rebekah Vardy is set to take part in Dancing on Ice 2021.

In an exclusive appearance on Good Morning Britain, Rebekah said she "just wanted people to laugh at her".

The mum-of-five, who is married to Leicester striker Jamie Vardy, said she used to skate as a child and often skates at Christmas time.

But it didn't take long for GMB presenter Piers Morgan to bring the conversation back to the infamous 'WAGatha Christie' scandal with Coleen Rooney, which Rebekah couldn't discuss due to legal reasons.

On Wednesday October 9, 2019 Coleen Rooney changed the showbiz landscape when she posted an explosive statement online.

The statement accused someone using Rebekah Vardy's Instagram account of selling stories about Coleen to newspapers.

Since the fallout, Rebekah has launched libel proceedings against Coleen.

Pushing for insight on the subject this morning, Piers Morgan said: "You're no stranger to skating on thin ice."

Rebekah quipped: "That's a bit rich coming from you."

Piers pressed for more and said: "I know there's something we can't talk about that everybody is talking about... but of the thing we can't talk about, is there anything you can say?"

Rebekah said: "You're so predictable."

She added: "We tried to sort things out amicably but it just didn't work, I know people think it's ridiculous but what was I meant to do? I need to clear my name... I want it resolved."

GMB co-host Susanna Reid asked if she had found the process difficult.

Rebekah said: "I've found it really tough but in comparison to what some people have gone through with Covid, it's incomparable."

Rebekah begins training for Dancing on Ice in a few weeks.

Closing the interview, Piers said: "We will follow you with great interest."

Piers added: "I like Rebekah Vardy."
