Rebekah Vardy thanks her dad for teaching her self worth as she sues Coleen Rooney

Rebekah Vardy thanked her dad Carlos Miranda for teaching her self worth as she sues Coleen Rooney.

The wife of Leicester City striker Jamie Vardy has accused Coleen for defamation after Wayne Rooney's wife made explosive claims about the leaking of stories.

Her poignant message about her dad Carlos on Father's Day was shared over the weekend before the High Court development of "Wagatha Christie" hit headlines.

Becky expressed her gratitude to her dad for giving her strength, teaching her self-worth and never to give up.

She wrote: "Ahhh my Dad. thank you for giving me my strength, teaching me to know my self worth and to never give up...We love you so much xxxx."

Becky accompanied her significant words with three pictures - a throwback picture of the pair, one from a recent meet up before COVID-19 and one of her dad with Jamie.

Becky's dad publicly backed his daughter as he said he was devastated by the feud shortly after the scandal shocked the showbiz world.

Carlos said Becky only had praise for Coleen and he claimed his daughter's Instagram must have been hacked.

He told The Daily Mail in October last year: "I can't believe a pro's wife would say something like that to another pro's wife without any proof whatsoever.

"Jamie and Wayne played together and it's just awful that people can make accusations like that, especially when Rebekah is pregnant. Her account must have been hacked.

"I felt I had to say something because my daughter is so upset by the whole thing. Rebekah has only ever had praise for Colleen - I'm just stunned."

Coleen publicly accused Becky's Instagram account of spying on her and leaking stories about her.

Becky has sought a public apology as the pair prepare to hash it out in court in one of the most nail-biting celebrity cases of all time.

Legal costs could rack up to £500,000 on each side, according to reports.

The insider told The Sun : "As far as Becky is concerned, she wants her costs and vindication.

"But since Coleen still refuses to agree to an apology, she's gone ahead with filing the paperwork at the High Court."
