Rebekah Vardy's tweet after Liverpool FC game might have Man City fans worried

The wife of Leicester City striker Jamie Vardy has revealed who she wants to see lift the Premier League title this season, ahead of the final week of the campaign.

Vardy and his Leicester teammates will be aiming to throw a spanner into the works in Manchester City’s aim to become the first side in a decade to successfully defend the Premier League title when the two face off on Monday evening.

Liverpool’s dramatic 3-2 victory over Newcastle United on Saturday has seen Jurgen Klopp’s side pass the baton back to City in the title race, as Pep Guardiola’s side need a victory on Monday to retake the lead in the title chase.

Leicester, who have improved significantly in the second half of the season under the guidance of former Reds boss Brendan Rodgers, could pose a stern test to City at the Etihad Stadium - and it seems their desire to win stretches beyond just securing three points.

Rebekah Vardy, the wife of the former England striker, took to Twitter to respond to a fan’s message asking if anyone wants Liverpool to win the Premier League title - revealing that she is backing the Reds to win a first league crown for 29 years.

‘No one wants Liverpool to win the Premier League’, the fan stated, to which Mrs Vardy replied ‘I do’, adding ‘#comeonLiverpool’.

Meanwhile on the field, Mrs Vardy’s spouse could have a significant say in the title race as he has a fine record against top-six sides in the Premier League and has contributed 18 goals for the Foxes this season.
