Rebekah Vardy's first husband felt humiliated after 'affair' with Peter Andre

Rebekah Vardy's first husband has spoken out about their whirlwind marriage, as the footballer wife gets down to business in her court case with Coleen Rooney.

Years before she married Leicester City striker Jamie Vardy, Rebekah was married to a humble electrician who she met while working in her local pub.

As reported by the Mirror, the WAG is currently caught up in the 'Wagatha Christie' legal battle with Coleen Rooney, following her exposure by the fellow footballing partner.

Becky was just 18-years-old when she met Mark Godden as she worked in the local pub in Witney Oxon.

Mark was playing in the darts team when they met - and they married not long after in a pricey £7,000 beach wedding in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico.

However, their snap marriage began to fall apart just weeks after, with Becky admitting: "I felt like I should marry him but quickly realised I didn’t love him."

In an interview back in 2017, Mark said the wedding was "perfect", and he was stunned by his new wife's beauty in her dress and tiara, coming in at £1,000 altogether.

Some family members stayed for the holiday in Mexico after the wedding, but Mark revealed all began to change drastically as they were left alone for a week.

He said at the time: "Back home, it got worse. She moved into a promotions job and said she had an overnight job in London.

"That’s when she slept with Peter Andre and later sold her story. She was pictured in her bra and knickers."

The couple, who were still married but separated internally at the time of the Peter Andre scandal, had gotten matching Chinese love symbol tattoos to commemorate their commitment.

During an exclusive interview with The Sun, Rebekah mocked Peter's manhood, saying: "It was like a chipolata."

She added: "I told my husband I was going to London to work. (Andre) was really sweet and led me upstairs.

"I told him I was married. I wanted to be honest and I knew my marriage was coming to an end.

"He stripped me and took his top off. He had great muscles. I thought he was going to be a fantastic lover. Then he took his trousers off! It wasn’t worth the train fare.

"Peter was tiny. The smallest trouser equipment I've ever seen. It was like a miniature chipolata."

Rebekah has since apologised following these quotes, and says she felt "pressured" to talk.

And while the couple were separated at the time, Mark couldn't escape the fact they were still married and received a ripping from work colleagues.

He said: "I was still married to her and got such a ribbing at work. They stuck up the picture in the toilet. She’d told me she was meeting the singer for work.

"She was trying to break into modelling and she looks for fellas who try to enhance her lifestyle."

He also noted that Rebekah was an "expensive" partner, and thought nothing of dropping money on designer clothing.

He added: "She used to spend all my money and thought nothing of buying £160 jeans, which was a lot all those years ago.

"Becky’s always loved designer clothes. When I got a £4,500 redundancy from one job she spent it."

Mark and Rebekah got divorced in 2003 and he now lives with his partner and their kids.

Addressing Mark's claims, a representative for Rebekah said: "Perhaps his memory of the marriage isn’t entirely clear as many of his claims aren’t accurate.

"There was no infidelity whilst she was married to Mark and once they agreed to separate, she went on to live her own life, as did Mark.

"She was a very damaged teenager when she met Mark. He proposed when she was still a teenager and she agreed because she felt like it was the right thing to do as he and his family had been so good to her.

"She quickly realised she shouldn’t have married him and they agreed to separate.

"It was kinder to separate than to stay in a loveless marriage, no one can blame a teenage girl for that.

"Becky would continue to wish Mr Godden all the best with his life."

Rebekah's second marriage to businessman Steve Clarke ended after 10 months.

She also had a long-term relationship with former lower league footballer Luke Foster, who is the father of her son Taylor, but they split in 2013.

Becky then found the current love of her life, Leicester striker Jamie Vardy, while working as a party planner and organising his 27th birthday night at a club in Sheffield.

During her stint in I'm A Celeb, Becky revealed: "He was the most demanding person you had ever met in your life, ever. He just pursued me.

Becky wasn't keen to start anything at the time, but was eventually wooed by the former England footballer and they are now married with three children together.

In an interview with The Sunday Mirror, she said: "When we did go for a drink, he made me laugh a lot but mainly I thought, 'This guy's insane'. But he won me over."

Becky added: "It's just the same as with his career - he never gives up!"

Rebekah and Coleen's infamous court case continues today.
