Rebekah Vardy called Coleen Rooney vile names in private messages

Rebekah Vardy didn't hold back as she called Coleen Rooney a 'c**t' and a 'nasty bitch' in private Whatsapp messages, the High Court has heard.

Rebekah, who is married to footballer Jamie Vardy, sent another message to her agent about Vardy, saying: "She's such a d**k.''

She also said of Coleen: "She's a nasty b***h. I have taken a big dislike to her. She thinks she's amazing.''

Another message showed Rebekah Vardy's frustration that some leaked information hadn't been published as she wrote:"We still need to make money."

Rebekah, 39, is suing Coleen, 35, for libel over an Instagram post in October 2019 where Coleen claimed Rebekah's account was responsible for a number of stories which had appeared in the papers.

The post led Coleen to be labelled Wagatha Christie.

David Sherborne, for Coleen, told the court she thought that Rebekah's agent should be included in the case because she leaked the information.

He said: "Mrs Vardy knew exactly what Ms Watt was doing. Mrs Vardy encouraged her to do it. She knew it was happening.

`"That is the reason to bring Ms Watt into the proceedings''

David Sherborne said Rebekah told Ms Watt to look at Coleen's private Instagram account.

He explained: "They were both routinely looking at private views with a view to getting them published.''

"Ms Watt's mobile phone accidentally slipped out of her hand overboard on a boat in the North Sea. The boat was unfortunately hit by a wave.''

He said the phone loss took place after a judge had ordered it to be examined for `relevant evidence'.

"As a result Mrs Vardy's data was lost in the middle of downloading it to her solicitors."

The hearing is expected to last two days at the Royal Courts of Justice in London.

Rebekah has strongly denied being involved in the story leaks from Coleen's page.

Coleen has tried her best through her own sting operation to catch the culprit who passed on information from her private page to the press.

She tried by posting a series of fake stories and blocked all her followers apart from Rebekah's account.

Rebekah denied she was responsible for the story leaks and insisted a number of people had access to her Instagram.

She then sued for libel in a bid to clear her name.

Mr Sherborne said the`motive' for the leaks was animosity between Vardy and Rooney. "There was clear animosity and hostility on the part of Mrs Vardy and Ms Watt towards Mrs Rooney.

"There were a number of abusive comments about Mrs Rooney some of which I have touched on.''

Mr Sherborne then accused Rebekah and Watt of concocting a story to `cover up that they were responsible' for the leaks.

Following Coleen's declaration the leaks came from Rebekah's account, she contacted her to deny it.

She told Coleen she would need to apologise because she was not guilty.

Rebekah told Coleen: "On my kids' lives I have never spoken to anyone about you.

"I like you a lot Coleen.''

But Mr Sherborne said Vardy was sticking to a 'script given to her by Ms Watt'.

Yesterday Rebekah posted on social media a photo of her wearing a black beanie hat bearing the logo: "You Can't Handle The Truth.''

She added: "Love this hat brand! They have some really funny slogans. Great for quirky gifts.''

In January 2019, Coleen tweeted: "It’s sad to think someone who I have accepted to follow me is betraying for either money or to keep a relationship with the press."

That same day, Rebekah asked Ms Watt whether she has seen the tweet, to which Ms Watt said: “Such a victim. Poor Coleen…And it wasn’t someone she trusted. It was me”

Coleen's lawyers also claimed that Rebekah and Ms Watt "concocted" a plan in case Mrs Rooney found out they had been leaking the messages, planning to say it was an unknown user, and other people have access to her passwords.

When Mrs Rooney's infamous post blaming Mrs Vardy's account was published, Ms Vardy messaged her publicist, saying: "That's war."

The PR agent replied: “You will have to say that you don’t speak to anyone about her but that recently your insta has even been following people you don’t follow and she should come to you first and asked you about it. So you could have changed your password. Just say you have allowed a company to access it for sponsored posts and a former social media agency that you worked with too”.

Rebekah then told Coleen: "On my kids' lives, I have never spoken to anyone about you."

She then went on to say the "exact" words her publicist advised her to, Mrs Rooney's legal team claimed.

Around the same time, it was said, media files from Mrs Vardy’s WhatsApp conversation with Ms Watt also disappeared, along with the backups, whilst in the process of exporting it to her solicitors.
