Transgender Big Brother star Rebekah Shelton has died suddenly at age 32, according to her Twitter account.
Rebekah is best-known for appearing on the reality TV show - before her transition - in 2009.
She came fifth on the tenth series of the show, competing under her birth name Rodrigo Lopes.
In the early hours of this morning, a statement posted by her social media account said: "We’re sorry to inform everyone of the sad news that our wonderful and lovely Rebekah died unexpectedly on Wednesday night.
"We ask that you respect the family's privacy at this time."
Tributes have already begun pouring in for the reality TV star, with one fan saying: "What a way to leave the world being who you truly are, finally, having being hidden in the wrong body. Such a role model to many and great laughs on Big Brother."
