Rebekah Brooks, the former News International chief executive, has just raised £17,000 for Help for Heroes in a recent charity cycle ride, reports the Daily Mail. Among her backers were City grandee Lord Jacob Rothschild, Rupert Murdoch's daughter Elisabeth, TV presenter Claudia Winkleman (wife of Kris Thykier, former senior executive at Lis's husband Matthew Freud's PR firm) and Olympian Bradley Wiggins.
