Rebecca Ferguson announces she's secretly given birth after quiet pregnancy

Rebecca Ferguson has secretly welcomed a baby after giving birth on Valentine's Day.

The former X Factor star, 36, shared an Instagram post on Friday to announce the joyous news, as she posted an adorable snap of baby's tiny hand.

Alongside the photo, she penned: Surprise! Turns out I can keep a secret. Born on Valentines Day.'

The birth of their tot marks the first arrival to Rebecca and Jonny's little family.

Rebecca - who was a finalist on the ITV competition in 2010 - and Jonny kept the pregnancy a secret for nine months.

The new parents have yet to announce the name and gender of the newborn.

The lovebirds tied the knot in December 2022 at her 'dream wedding venue' in London's Mayfair district - and their wedding was also quite the surprise.

Rebecca's announced her wedding joy in an sensational Instagram post as she wore an eye-catching wedding dress covered in diamante details and accessorised with a long matching bejewelled veil.

"And just like that she went on to live happily ever after! Surprise!" Rebecca wrote when captioning the picture of herself beaming next to her new husband.

Rebecca's other children, Lillie, 18, Karl, 16, and Arabella, 8, all attended her wedding to sports agent Hughes.

Scouse soul singer Rebecca rose to fame thanks to the now-defunct ITV talent show in 2010 - finishing second to Matt Cardle, making her the first female runner-up on The X Factor.

After the final aired in 2010, Rebecca and former One Direction member Zayn Malik struck up a romance before going their separate ways four months later.

After appearing on the X Factor, Rebecca went on to enjoy a successful music career.

She has had top 20 songs including Nothing's Real But Love, Backtrack and I Hope, according to Official Charts.

As well as that, all of her four albums, 2011's Heaven, 2013's Freedom, 2015's Lady Sings The Blues and 2016's Superwoman have made it into the top 10.
