Rebeca Tavares, wife of Liverpool midfielder Fabinho, has opened up on her lost dream as well as the pride she feels for her husband.
Tavares also revealed her joy at the growing popularity of women's football following the success of this summer's World Cup in France.
In an honest and emotional post to Twitter, Rebeca wrote: "You always ask me if I play football, so let me answer.
"I grew up playing and dreaming of maybe being a professional football player but when I was 'younger' (15-16 years old) some circumstances made me stop playing.

"Now I'm not playing anymore but for me it's a pleasure to see how much women's football is growing each year. I'll do everything to encourage ladies to still dream of football equality. Do not stop dreaming like me. You should go further."
Inspired by the United States of America's Women's team, who won the World Cup on Sunday following a 2-0 win over Netherlands, a separate post read: "I’m so happy seeing how much women’s football are growing. We can’t stop here!!!!!!!"

The 24-year-old also admitted how Fabinho is living her dream 'in his feet'.
She added: "For me watching Fabs playing in this level it’s like my dream came true but in his feet. I’m so proud."

Fabinho missed out on a place in Brazil's Copa America squad, with Tite's side crowned champions on Sunday after defeating Peru 3-1.
