Reason why Roma has banned players from taking photos with Drake this season

"All Roma players banned from taking photos with Drake until the end of the season."

That was the message that greeted Twitter this week, as the Serie A giants decided they didn't want any of their players posing for snaps with the Canadian rapper this campaign.

Of course, the football club - known for its humorous social media posts - are only having a joke with the instruction, but there may just be something in it.

Drake has been discussed by football fans a lot this month after a series of bizarre coincidences have followed him posing for snaps with some of football's biggest names.

It all began when Drake was pictured with Dortmund's Jadon Sancho just days before the German club were battered 5-0 by Bayern Munich.

The Toronto-born artist then posed for a snap with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, only for Arsenal to lose 1-0 to Everton.

Man Utd star Alexis Sanchez branded "womanising liar" by stunning model

Sergio Aguero was next to suffer the Drake 'curse' after he missed a penalty in Manchester City's Champions League defeat by Tottenham after he was pictured with the rapper.

And finally Layvin Kurzawa had his photograph taken with Drake - only for Paris Saint-Germain to then get battered 5-1 by Lille.

Of course there is no real correlation between Drake having his photo taken with footballers and their team going on to lose their next game.

But it seems Roma aren't taking any chances and have decided to impose a 'Drake ban' until the end of the season.
