In a sad indictment of Rangers' season, Kris Boyd reckons his former club will be 'buzzing' Celtic only managed to wrap up the Scottish Premiership title with four games to spare.
The former Gers, Kilmarnock and Scotland striker insists Brendan Rodgers' side should have sealed their fourth title in a row a while ago.
Ahead of the teams meeting for the final time this season on Sunday lunchtime at Ibrox, the points gap between them sits at a difference of 17, with Rangers have won the previous two derbies.
While that is the case, Boyd says he wouldn't be surprised to see Rangers claim victory this weekend.
Quoted in the Scottish Sun, he said: "I think they’re probably buzzing it’s only four games to go because, let’s be realistic, it should have been wrapped up a couple of weeks ago.
"We’re probably in an era right now where it’s difficult to process from a Rangers point of view.
"If you go back to when you won 55, everybody was feeling that was the time to kick on, and it didn’t happen.

Rangers need to make a decision on Hamza Igamane - Here’s what I would do
"Celtic have found a way to get stronger, there’s no getting away from it.
"I know the job that Ange Postecoglou did was exceptional, but Celtic are stronger right now.
"They have more control of games, they’re scoring roughly the same amount of goals, if not more.
"Rangers have beaten Celtic twice this season and the points difference is crazy if you take the six points off as well.
"It wouldn’t surprise you if Rangers get something from Celtic at the weekend because that’s what they do. They turn up for games when they fancy it."
