Reason why Pep Guardiola is NOT watching Liverpool vs Chelsea revealed

Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola and his side may have been focused on Premier League matters early this afternoon but they are now as focused on The Masters 2019 as they are title rivals Liverpool.

That's according to Guardiola, who has revealed that the team will be watching the finish at Augusta National.

While some of his players will obviously have a keen eye on Liverpool as the Reds battle to move back to the top of the Premier League by beating Chelsea, Guardiola summed up the squad's relaxed nature by stating that they will be as focused on the Masters.

Francesco Molinari is leading the way at the Masters this year but legendary golfer Tiger Woods is also in the hunt.

Reason why furious Kevin De Bruyne shouted at Sergio Aguero

"I'll be on the bus or plane. Tiger Woods and Francesco Molinari are playing. We will watch the Masters and maybe the Liverpool game. Hopefully, Chelsea do a good job," Guardiola told BBC Sport.

This reaction probably best sums up how relaxed Guardiola and City are about the title race after again surviving the pressure on Sunday as they beat Crystal Palace 3-1 in the capital.

And who can blame Guardiola about wanting to tune into the Masters anyway? Today's finish could be as close as the title race itself.
