Monkey

Really selling it

Monkey has never previously had the urge to sit in on a BBC2 marketing meeting, but Newsnight editor Peter Barron makes them sound so exotic. In an email to viewers of his show on Friday, he wrote: "I was at a fascinating BBC2 marketing event this morning, complete with bean bag seating, live a cappella singing and lots of facts and figures about the channel's audience." He doesn't say whether it was channel controller Roly Keating doing the a cappella singing but Monkey likes to think it was. While he was sitting on a beanbag obviously. Barron goes on to say that Newsnight will now be available on the BBC iPlayer giving viewers who miss the show on Thursdays because of the clash with BBC1's Question Time a chance to catch up. Monkey wishes a video of the BBC2 marketing meeting was available on the iPlayer as well.
