Inside TOWIE star Lydia Bright and Lucy Mecklenburgh's glam Welsh baby shower weekend

Reality TV star Lydia Bright celebrated the imminent arrival of her daughter with a lavish baby shower at a Welsh hotel this weekend.

The mum-to-be, best known from The Only Way is Essex, was joined by her closest friends and family including fellow ex-Towie star Lucy Mecklenburgh, who is also pregnant, TOWIE’s Amber Dowding and TV presenter Denise van Outen and enjoyed a weekend relaxing at the Celtic Manor Resort in Newport.

Lydia, 29, is due to give birth to her first child in February and kicked off her celebrations on Friday, giving fans an insight into her weekend away on her social media accounts.

On Instagram the star shared a clip - captioned #freedom - of three friends ditching their spa robes and running naked across the manor grounds and of a private dinner at the resorts Pad restaurant:

With her 30th birthday just days away she had even more reason to celebrate.

The baby shower weekend started with welcome drinks and the party celebrated in style with a plush dinner, spa treatments and afternoon tea.

Lydia proudly showed off the delicious sweet treats on offer to guests as well as the bottles of fizz on her Instagram - pointing out she'd opting for the alcohol-free wine - and shared a video of Amber and her mum Debbie relaxing in the hot tub.

Lydia has split up from the father of her unborn child Lee Cronin but they have remained friends throughout her pregnancy, according to the Mirror .

However she claimed her ex-partner wouldn't be any help when it comes to giving birth to her unborn baby whom she refers to as "Dinky" and has instead enlisted the help of her mum Debbie as a birthing partner.

The resort is no stranger to celebrities and Lydia is a regular guest.

In 2014 Barack Obama stayed in one of the luxury lodges for the NATO summit and last year the resort hosted sisters Sam and Billie Faiers for the filming of ITVbe’s The Mummy Diaries.
