Reality TV star suffers brutal eye injury after Airdrie charity football wrestler clash

A reality TV star left Airdrie with a fractured eye socket after a boot to the face from a wrestler during a charity football match.

Tony Elliot of Glasgow-based TV show 'GLOW' lined up for the Airdrie All-Stars and Legends charity game last Saturday.

However, as he slipped his shot under the goalkeeper Insane Championship Wrestling grappler 'Ravie Davie' slip in and caught him in the face.

After the game, Tony said: "Great day at the charity football game apart from getting booted in the coupon off a wrestler!"

Organiser Ross Owen added: "Poor Tony Elliott. On the pitch for less than a minute when he got a boot in the face and had to come off. Didn't complain once."

This year the big names descended on the Penny Cars Stadium in aid of the Airdrie Community Trust.

Around 600 fans attended the game to see Still Game favourite Sanjeev Kohli, wrestling superstar Grado and Line of Duty and Still Game actor Scott Reid lining up.

The All-Stars won on the day - thanks to the help of Tony - with ex-Rangers player Gordon Smith lifting the trophy.
