Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side will be eager to get some silverware this season and Europa League is the perfect competition to fight for one.
The Red Devils won the competition under Jose Mourinho in the 2016/17 season and midfielder Fred has spoken openly about the desire to win it once again.
Fred told Inside United: “I think it's going to be a great game against Real Sociedad, they've been having a great season in Spain.
“We know to expect a difficult game, but we're going for the win.
“We want to win the Europa League. We know how important it is to us, so we'll do our best in the game and have our best season in the Europa League so we can lift the trophy."
The knockout stages starts off in Turin where they face a Real Sociedad side with former winger Adnan Januzaj and ex-Man City playmaker David Silva.

Fernandes has scored 19 goals so far this season in all competitions including four in the Champions League making him a suitable candidate to find the net at 7/2.
Half of Rashford's goals have happened in European fixtures this season with six. He's 9/2 with Betfred.
I'm putting Greenwood up for debate purely on the basis he has just signed a new four-year contract at Old Trafford and may repay that faith in Turin tonight. He's an outside shout at 5/1.
