Love Island fans were left stunned tonight as the girls decided to brutally dump Tom from the villa.
But considering their recent row with Danny over Yewande, this will come as a shock to some viewers as it was the ideal opportunity to get him out.
Just days ago, Amber and Danny were embroiled in a heated row after he dumped her pal Yewande for Arabella.
And it looks like their choice also came as a shock for the boys, who seem to have chosen Arabella, thinking that they would have chosen Danny.
Some fans have speculated that Amber, Lucie and Molly-Mae chose to send Tom home to because their real target was Maura.
The decision to send home Tom would put Maura at a disadvantage as she would be without a partner.
Tonight, host Caroline Flack shocked the Islanders by entering the villa and delivering the bombshell news.
She revealed that Michael and Amber, Anton and Lucie and Molly-Mae and Tommy had been voted the top three couples.
This meant that they were safe, however the girls then had to vote to dump one of the male Islanders, while the safe boys had to dump the one of the girls.
In a surprising turn, the girls chose to dump Tom, while the boys chose to dump Arabella.
Speaking after the dumping, Arabella said that she knew she would be in danger because she was the newest Islander.
"If there was one person they would miss the least it would be me," she said. "I was still surprised though. I think the boys thought the girls would choose Danny, because of the Yewande situation.
"I don’t know if Danny will stay now I’ve gone. That decision is with him. He was gutted when I left and said I had given him the best week of his life.
"It’s up to him though. If he does stay he might be scared of jeopardising things with us."
Meanwhile Tom admitted that he hadn't expected to go.
"We knew something was going to happen," he said. "Caroline hadn’t dropped in for a while. But I thought maybe some new guys were coming in.
"I didn’t see a dumping like that coming. I thought it was between me and Danny when it came to it."
Tom and Arabella will be joining Yewande on Love Island; Aftersun on Sunday June 30.
