Real Madrid XI vs Man City: Confirmed team news, starting lineup, latest injuries tonight

Real Madrid are without the suspended Sergio Ramos for this evening's Champions League last-16 second leg away to Manchester City.

The Madrid captain was sent off in the 2-1 loss to Pep Guardiola’s side at the Santiago Bernabeu in late February, and is replaced by Eder Miilitao at the Etihad Stadium.

Coach Zinedine Zidane has Marcelo available again after an adductor injury, but sticks with the more defensive-minded Ferland Mendy at left-back.

In midfield, Toni Kroos starts after the German was surprisingly benched for the first leg along with Luka Modric and Casemiro.

Eden Hazard starts despite reports he is only 80% fit after his return to action in the latter stages of LaLiga.

On the right, Rodrygo takes the other spot alongside Karim Benzema.

Gareth Bale asked to be excluded from the squad altogether after being frozen out by Zidane and will play no part, while there is also no place in the 24-man party for Colombian playmaker James Rodriguez.

Real Madrid XI: Courtois; Carvajal, Militao, Varane, Mendy; Kroos, Casemiro, Modric; Rodrygo, Benzema, Hazard.

Subs: Areola, Altube, Nacho, Marcelo, Valverde, Lucas Vazquez, Jovic, Asensio, Brahim, Isco, Vinicius Jr, Hernandez.
