Gareth Bale and Luka Modric both miss Real Madrid’s Champions League clash away to Galatasaray in Istanbul on Tuesday night after picking up injuries on international duty.
Modric limped off with a thigh injury in Croatia’s 1-1 draw with Wales last week and Bale finished the same game with a calf problem.
The two former Tottenham players both trained ahead of Saturday’s 1-0 loss at Mallorca, but were left out of that match and are still not ready to return.
Summer signing Eden Hazard is included in the squad and should start on Tuesday, having missed the Mallorca match following the birth of his fourth child at the weekend.
Toni Kroos is likely to feature in midfield after returning from a groin injury sustained before the international break and in attack, Karim Benzema is expected to be in the line-up despite some signs of discomfort and a bandaged right thigh evident in Monday’s training session at the Turk Telekom Arena.
Nacho and Lucas Vazquez miss out through injury, along with long-term absentee Marco Asensio.
Galatasaray, meanwhile, will be without striker Radamel Falcao after the Colombian failed to recover from an Achilles problem in time for Tuesday’s game.
The former Atletico Madrid forward is not even in the squad for the meeting with Real and another former La Liga player, midfielder Sofiane Feghouli, is doubtful.
