Marcelo is almost certain to miss Real Madrid’s visit to Eibar in La Liga on Saturday after he was forced off before half-time in Wednesday night’s 6-0 win over Galatasaray in the Champions League.
The Brazilian left-back assisted two goals for Rodrygo early on in the game at the Santiago Bernabeu, but was substituted late in the first half after feeling discomfort and even though the problem is thought to be minor, he is unlikely to feature at the weekend.
The 31-year-old will undergo tests on Friday and a decision will be made once the extent of his problem is known, but he seems set to be replaced in the XI by summer signing Ferland Mendy at Ipurua.
Gareth Bale and James Rodriguez are also expected to miss out, despite taking part in Thursday’s session.
Both players trained alone, with and without the ball, but are unlikely to be risked ahead of the forthcoming international break.
Nacho completed running drills and could be back in the squad, but Marco Asensio remains sidelined with a long-term injury.

Predicted Eibar XI (4-4-2): Dmitrovic; Blasis, Oliveira, Arbilla, Cote; Orellana, Escalante, Diop, Inui; Charles, Garcia
Predicted Real Madrid XI (4-3-3): Courtois; Carvajal, Varane, Ramos, Mendy; Casemiro, Kroos, Valverde; Rodrygo, Benzema, Hazard
