Gareth Bale has returned to the Real Madrid squad for tonight's Champions League clash away to Club Brugge, but Sergio Ramos and Toni Kroos have been rested for the trip to Belgium.
Bale has been suffering with a hamstring problem and was expected to miss the midweek match in Bruges, having sat out Saturday’s 2-0 win over Espanyol in La Liga.
But the 30-year-old has been named in Zinedine Zidane’s 19-man list for the Group A clash, which is essentially a dead rubber for Madrid as Los Blancos have already sealed qualification for the knockout stages and cannot finish above or below second.
With the Clasico ahead next Wednesday and a tough trip to Mestalla to face Valencia on Sunday, Bale is unlikely to be risked as a starter in Belgium.
Eden Hazard is sidelined until next year with an ankle injury, so Vinicius Junior and Rodrygo could both be in the XI again and Luka Jovic is in line to start, with Karim Benzema expected to be on the bench.
Elsewhere, Marcelo is out too and the Brazilian faces a race to be fit for the Clasico.
Ferland Mendy was sent off in the weekend win over Espanyol as he deputised for the 31-year-old and the French defender will be suspended for the trip to Valencia, but he should start again at left-back on Wednesday.
Captain Ramos has been left out of the squad altogether to rest and his place will be taken by Eder Militao in defence, where Nacho is available again after a lengthy spell out through injury.
Kroos has also been handed a rest by Zidane and Isco is therefore likely to come in alongside Casemiro and Luka Modric in midfield.
James Rodriguez, Lucas Vazquez and Marco Asensio are all still out injured.
Club Brugge, third in the sector with three points, will be looking to secure a place in the Europa League ahead of Galatasaray, in action away to Paris Saint-Germain in their last Group A game.
