Two greats of the European game go head to head in the Champions League quarter-finals as Real Madrid and Liverpool face off tonight.
The two clubs boast 19 European Cups between them, with the last meeting between the rivals coming in the 018 final where Real celebrated a 3-1 victory.
Liverpool have gone from strength to strength since then, winning the Champions League the following year while collecting the Premier League in 2020 - but this season has been a tough one for the Reds, who sit sixth in the table.
Zinedine Zidane’s Los Blancos are not the side of yesteryear following their stunning hat-trick of European Cup triumphs between 2015-2018, but are closing on rivals Atletico in the title race and have plenty of recent experience when it comes to pressure-cooker knockout European ties.
Date, kick-off time and venue
Real Madrid vs Liverpool is scheduled for an 8pm GMT kick-off on Tuesday, April 6, 2021.
The match will be held behind closed doors at Estadio Alfredo Di Stefano.
