Real Madrid vs Leganes
Copa del Rey 2018-19
Venue: Santiago Bernabeu
Kick-off: 8:30pm GMT, tonight
Real Madrid need a return to winning ways at the Bernabeu as they face Leganes in the first leg of their Copa del Rey last-16 clash this evening.
Santiago Solari's Real fell to a shock 2-0 home defeat to Real Sociedad at the weekend, and currently sit 10 points behind LaLiga leaders Barcelona.
Next up for Los Blancos are Leganes - and the Madrid minnows will fancy their chances against a Real squad short of both players and confidence.
Team news
Toni Kroos is set to be sidelined for around three to four weeks with an adductor problem.
Gareth Bale, Marco Asensio, Mariano Diaz and Marcos Llorente are all currently sidelined, and AS reported on Monday that Madrid’s players have had a combined total of 30 injuries this season, missing close to 500 days overall.
Real Madrid (4-3-3): Navas; Ceballos, Varane, Nacho, Reguilon; Modric, Ceballos, Isco; Odriozola, Benzema, Vinicius
Score prediction: Real Madrid 1-0 Leganes
Real need a result against Leganes after their Sociedad shock, though Kroos' injury absence further complicates matters for Solari.
Los Blancos will be on their toes for this one and should tighten up against another struggling LaLiga opponent, but it may not be comfortable.
