Real Madrid vs Inter Milan: Prediction, team news, lineup, TV channel, live stream - Champions League preview

European heavyweights Real Madrid and Inter Milan collide in Champions League competition tonight.

Zinedine Zidane’s reigning LaLiga champions sit bottom of Group B and are desperate for a win after following a shock home defeat by Shakhtar Donetsk with a 2-2 draw away to Bundesliga outfit Borussia Monchengladbach last week.

Meanwhile, third-placed Inter - beaten Europa League finalists last season - have also made an inauspicious start to their latest European campaign, collecting just two points from as many matches while also lying sixth in Serie A.

Date, time and venue

Real Madrid vs Inter Milan is scheduled for an 8pm GMT kick-off tonight (Tuesday November 3, 2020).

The match is due to be held behind closed doors at the Estadio Alfredo Di Stefano in Madrid due to Government guidelines regarding coronavirus.

How to watch

TV channel: The match will be televised on BT Sport ESPN, with coverage starting from 7pm.

Live stream: BT Sport subscribers will be able to watch the match online via the video player and the BT Sport app.

Team news

Inter have been dealt a huge blow with the likely absence of top scorer Romelu Lukaku, who is dealing with a thigh problem.

Alexis Sanchez is in contention to play some part for the Nerazzuri after missing the last three matches through injury, while Slovakian defender Milan Skriniar should also be available.

Stefano Sensi and Matias Vecino are out, however.

As for Madrid, defender Eder Militao is isolating after testing positive for Covid-19.

Nacho, Dani Carvajal and Martin Odegaard are also sidelined through injury, while Alvaro Odriozola and Lucas Vazquez are both doubts.

Prediction: Real Madrid 2-1 Inter Milan

Both sides have yet to get going in Group D, though Real’s domestic form is stronger, with Los Blancos following up a morale-boosting Clasico win with a weekend drubbing of lowly Huesca.

The hosts to claim a narrow win that will leave Antonio Conte seriously fearing for Inter’s chances of qualification.

Head to head (h2h) history and results

These two clubs have met on nine prior occasions, though surprisingly not at all since the 1998/99 season.

Inter boast a narrow advantage in terms of wins, five to three. There has also been one previous draw.
