Thibaut Courtois will play no part in Real Madrid's La Liga game at home to Granada on Saturday as he recovers from a bout of gastroenteritis.
The Belgian goalkeeper was substituted at half-time with Los Blancos 2-0 down to Club Brugge in the Champions League on Tuesday and replaced by Alphonse Areola as the Spanish side came back to seal a 2-2 draw at the Santiago Bernabeu.
Zidane said after the game that the change had been due to the 27-year-old suffering "stomach problems" and Real rejected reports he had been diagnosed with anxiety in a statement released on Friday, adding that the player was "responding well" to treatment for gastroenteritis.
In his absence, Areola will make his second start since joining on loan from Paris Saint-Germain on transfer deadline day.
Young Spanish goalkeepers Diego Altube and Javier Belman are also in the squad and the former, who is just 19, looks set for a place on the bench.
Marcelo came on in the second half against Club Brugge, but the Brazilian has picked up a hamstring injury and with Ferland Mendy and Nacho both out, ZIdane has no left-backs available.
The Frenchman has ruled out playing Gareth Bale in that position. "I haven't thought of that," he said on Friday. "No, no. We have other options."
Three at the back could be a possibility, although Zidane looks likely to play central defender Eder Militao on the left.
"Yes, yes," he said. "He could be an alternative. He's a defender and he has played in that position." Raphael Varane could also slot in on the left.
With Luka Modric, Isco and James Rodriguez all available after injury, Zidane now has several options in midfield, although Marco Asensio remains sidelined with a long-term problem.
Rodrygo is in the squad as Vinicius Junior misses out this time, while there is no place for Lucas Vazquez either after his disappointing display against Club Brugge.
