Hazard had made it clear that he wanted to move to the Spanish capital and with just one season left on his contract, Chelsea had no choice but to cash in on their most prized asset instead of risking losing him for nothing next summer.
Despite Hazard to be unveiled on June 13, fans have spotted the shirt, with Hazard's name and the number 7 hanging in Real Madrid's official shop, the former number of Cristiano Ronaldo.
Hazard's final game for Chelsea was the Europa League final victory over Arsenal, where fittingly the key man scored a brace on the way to lifting the trophy. After the game, the player admitted that a transfer was likely.
But now he has made the move to Madrid, having the number seven shirt is going to be big for him, having to fill the boots of Ronaldo at the Bernabeu.
