Real Madrid 'to offer Man Utd mammoth transfer with huge player swap' for Paul Pogba

Real Madrid have reportedly told Manchester United they are prepared to offer £72million AND Gareth Bale or Isco in exchange for French midfielder Paul Pogba .

Pogba's future at Old Trafford has been plunged into uncertainty in the past year, with Madrid keen to pounce on his desire to relocate and lure him to the Spanish capital.

However, United are standing firm having informed Madrid earlier this summer they would only be drawn into negotiations if the La Liga giants tabled a bid in excess of £150m.

That is despite agent Mino Raiola's recent comments, where he admitted they are trying to force a move from the club.

According to Mundo Deportivo , Real have responded by suggesting a swap deal for Pogba which would see one of Bale or Isco join the red side of Manchester.

This is not the first time that Bale and Isco have been linked with United, but rumours have previously fizzled out.

The proposed package would include £72 million upfront too, almost half the £150 million valuation placed on Pogba by the Red Devils.

With the transfer window slamming shut on August 8, only time will tell whether or not the deal will go through. Madrid have already captured some key signings including Ferland Mendy, Luka Jovic and Eden Hazard .

However, they face competition for Pogba's signature from his former employers, Juventus , who are now under the guidance of ex-Chelsea boss, Maurizio Sarri .

The Italian champions are reportedly willing to adopt a similar approach and could offer Paulo Dybala , Alex Sandro and Blaise Matuidi plus cash for Pogba.

He is currently taking a break in New York while United are getting ready for a pre-season trip to Australia. His agent Raiola has spoken about moving Pogba on from United with Madrid his preferred destination.
