Real Madrid’s stunning Kylian Mbappe boost as Manchester United dealt Joao Felix blow – latest transfer rumours

Real Madrid are poised to reap the rewards of Paris Saint-Germain now being the frontrunners to land Antoine Griezmann.

Reports on Sunday claimed the Ligue 1 champions are in pole position to sign the France star, who has announced he is to leave Atletico Madrid this summer.

Barcelona’s hopes of signing the World Cup winner are said to be fading – and this has a knock-on effect for Real Madrid.

Los Blancos would benefit because any move for Griezmann would likely signal Kylian Mbappe’s Paris departure.

The 20-year-old revealed last month: "Maybe it's the time to take on more responsibilities. Maybe at PSG, of course, or maybe elsewhere with a new project."

And now AS insist Mbappe could be heading to Madrid – despite bombshell news said to be hitting Zinedine Zidane’s side.

It has been reported Madrid must raise in excess of £250million to comply with Financial Fair Play rules.

The Liga giants have already landed Luka Jovic for £62m from Frankfurt and Eden Hazard from Chelsea for £130m.

And due to their interest in Mbappe, a whole host of players are set to be offloaded to balance the books.

Around 13 players could be punted – including Gareth Bale, Isco and Mateo Kovacic.

On Sunday it was revealed Manchester United wanted to take Bale on loan but given Madrid’s FFP concerns, this may well not happen.

Staying in England, Manchester City look to have stolen a march on United in the rivals’ pursuit of Benfica’s rising star Joao Felix.

Portuguese outlet Record report the Premier League champions have offered the forward a contract worth €30million over five years.

Felix is wanted by United but they could now lose out to their city rivals after tempting him with a staggering salary.

Meanwhile, Lille have confirmed the permanent transfer of winger Anwar El Ghazi to Aston Villa.

The Dutch star spent last season on loan in England and has now signed for good.
