Real Madrid's Eriksen interest, Juventus plot Pogba move, Neymar 'bid made' - European rumours

Whilst the Premier League transfer window may have slammed shut, leagues around Europe can still purchase players from the competition in the coming days.

There are some major names who could depart these shores for pastures new in Europe, while other players should be staying put. There are also some big storylines on the continent which could still develop this month.

The Premier League deadline may have shut but that doesn't stop the rumours. Here are the latest.

Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid still interested in Christian Eriksen

Tottenham may have made some major moves in the transfer market by signing the likes of Tanguy Ndombele, Giovanni Lo Celso and Ryan Sessegnon but that could still be outweighed by a major departure.

Christian Eriksen spoke earlier this summer of a desire for a new challenge and it's understood that Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid still both retain an interest in signing the 27-year-old midfielder.

Marca  claim that it was this interest which put off Manchester United as the Premier League side in the end decided against going all out to sign the Spurs star.

The Spanish window shuts on Saturday, August 31.

Paul Pogba latest as Juventus plan 'late bid'

Paul Pogba has been linked with a move away from Manchester United all summer.

Like Eriksen, the French World Cup winner has talked of wanting a new challenge.

Real Madrid have been mostly heavily linked with the 26-year-old but it's Juventus who are reportedly making a late play.

Tuttosport claim that Juventus will not let the idea of re-signing Pogba go. The Italian newspaper say that the Serie A giants will test United's resolve one last time before the Italian window shuts on Sunday, August 18.

Danny Rose not expected to leave

Danny Rose was left out of Tottenham's pre-season tour amid talk of him leaving the club.

The left-back was linked with Paris Saint-Germain but nothing has developed.

Premier League side Watford reportedly had two bids rejected for Rose before the Premier League transfer deadline day.

Neymar 'bid submitted' by Real Madrid

Neymar has endured a summer of wild rumours with one even suggesting he might end up at Manchester United.

That was never going to be a destination for the enigmatic Paris Saint-Germain star.

However, Real Madrid are making a late play for the 27-year-old, according to a report in Spain.

It's said that Real are willing to pay £110m plus Luka Modric for Neymar.  Sport  are the outlet providing that report.
