Real Madrid players react to impending arrival of Eden Hazard

Real Madrid's players can’t wait for the arrival of Eden Hazard.

The superstar Belgian is expected to sign a six-year deal to defect to the Spanish giants from Chelsea .

Real defender Dani Carvajal said: “Hazard would add a lot to our attack, he is a player who wants the ball and does not hide.”

The club are struggling to conclude a deal for the winger - who has just a year left on his contract - because Chelsea are demanding in excess of £100million.

Real Madrid chief executive Jose Angel Sanchez left a meeting with the Chelsea hierarchy on Monday without sealing a deal.

It means Hazard (above) will have to wait until after his international commitments are over before, as expected, linking up with Zinedine Zidane.

The Belgian has already admitted that he expects to leave the club this summer after helping the Blues to a 4-1 win over Arsenal in the Europa League final.

"Yes, I think it's a goodbye," Hazard told BT Sport after the game. "But in football you never know.

"My dream was to play in the Premier League, I did this for seven years, and in the biggest club in the world.

"Now maybe it's time for a new challenge."

He would join former Eintracht Frankfurt striker Luca Jovic who signed earlier this week.

Carvajal added: “Luka Jovic is a great number nine and in front of goal, I hope he is decisive and I am sure he will be a great success."

Jovic's arrival comes after a disappointing season for the Real, both in Spain and in Europe.

After suffering an early exit against Ajax in the last 16 of the Champions League, the Spanish giants then finished third in La Liga - behind Barcelona and city rivals Atletico.

“The end of the campaign? It was the worst season since I’ve been in the first team," Carvajal continued.

"The best thing is that the season has ended, Zidane’s arrival gave us oxygen but we did not have a good reaction either.”
