Real Madrid plan 6-player clear-out to finance Erling Haaland and Kylian Mbappe transfers

Real Madrid are reportedly planning an extensive summer clear-out to finance transfers for world-class duo Erling Haaland and Kylian Mbappe.

Up to six players could be sold, with the likes of Eden Hazard and Gareth Bale on the chopping block.

Los Blancos manager Zinedine Zidane will have big money to spend this summer but signing either Haaland or Mbappe, never mind both players, will cost a fortune.

Real Madrid are not prepared to let either star pass them by and will therefore reportedly take drastic action to ensure both players will don the famous white strip.

Haaland will be available for £65million when his release clause comes into play next season, but he is expected to be the subject of a bidding war this summer transfer window.

To ensure Real Madrid get their man, they may have to part with £150million at the end of the season.

Mbappe, meanwhile, has no release clause and is contracted at Paris Saint-Germain until 2022.

He could cost considerably more, especially as PSG do not want to sell, but Mbappe has previously revealed it is his dream to play for Real Madrid, and this could force the French club's hand.

The six players who could leave Real Madrid this summer, according to Mundo Deportivo, are Bale, Sergio Ramos, Raphael Varane, Hazard, Isco, and Marcelo.

Bale is currently on loan at Tottenham and doesn't appear to have a future at Madrid under Zidane.

Contract negotiations with Ramos have reached an impasse and the 34-year-old could finally leave the club this summer after 16 years.

Varane has been linked with a move away from Real Madrid in recent months amid fears he's not prepared to sign a new deal, while Isco and Marcelo have fallen down the pecking order at the Bernabeu.

Finally, Hazard has been plagued with injuries the whole time he has been at Real Madrid, and it seems the club are now ready to cut their losses and sell.
