Real Madrid 'offer Manchester United £72m plus either Gareth Bale or Isco' for Paul Pogba

Real Madrid have offered Manchester United the opportunity to sign either Isco or Gareth Bale as part of a swap-deal for Paul Pogba, according to reports.

Mundo Deportivo suggest the Spanish side are reluctant to meet United’s asking price for the World Cup winner and would rather include a player in the deal if possible.

The report states Real Madrid were previously prepared to pay up to £134m for the France international but are now pursuing the possibility of including one of their stars in the deal.

However, Real Madrid have indicated they will only make a move for Pogba if the player hands a transfer request in himself with United under no pressure to sell him this summer.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is still keen on keeping the 26-year-old at the club this season and the club have him firmly in their plans ahead of the new campaign.

In terms of other transfer gossip, United are reportedly set for a boost in their pursuit of Harry Maguire this summer.

The club have already seen an opening bid rejected for the Leicester centre back but despite the setback there could be good news for Solskjaer soon.

That is because 90 min are reporting City have cooled their interest in the England international. MEN Sport understands City will not break their budget to buy a new centre back this summer.
