Real Madrid 'offer Gareth Bale to PSG' as Man Utd target's agent hits back at Zinedine Zidane jibes

Gareth Bale's agent has hit back at Zinedine's Zidane's criticisms of Gareth Bale's commitment to Real Madrid, amid reports that the Welsh superstar has been offered to French giants Paris St Germain.

Bale played the full 90 minutes of Real's surprise defeat to strugglers Rayo Vallecano at the weekend, and chose not to travel with the rest of the squad after the game, prompting Zidane to express doubts over the 29-year old's focus.

However, the player's agent Jonathan Barnett has hit back at those claims, and insists Bale is keen on staying in the Spanish capital.

He told BBC Wales Sport : "Gareth is 100 per cent committed to Real Madrid.

"Nothing has changed."

Gareth Bale, Man Utd and the extraordinary scenario that could see him leave Real Madrid for just £5million

The Welshman, who joined Madrid for a then-world record fee of £85million from Tottenham in 2013, still has another three years to run on his current deal at the Bernabeu, but reports in Spain seem increasingly skeptical about his future with Real. Manchester United have been touted as potential suitors, Gareth Bale, Man Utd and the extraordinary scenario that could see him leave Real Madrid for just £5million floated in the Spanish press last week.

In a recent TV interview, OK Diario journalist Eduardo Inda claims Bale has already been offered to PSG ahead of a potential move this summer, with the French giants seen as one of the few teams with the financial muscle needed to land the former Spurs star.

"Let's see if they get lucky with Paris Saint Germain. The team of the sheik seems to be interested," he said.

"In Madrid there would be no impediments to the move."

A move to Paris could well be sweetened by the potential arrival of boss Jose Mourinho, who could yet take the reins at the Parc des Princes, with the club's owners reportedly unhappy at the performance of current manger Thomas Tuchel.

Tuchel could even be dismissed at the end of the season, paving the way for Mourinho, a known admirer of Bale, to make his return to the game.
