Real Madrid midfielder Casemiro talks up Paul Pogba transfer from Manchester United

Paul Pogba would be very welcome at Real Madrid according to Los Blancos midfielder Casemiro.

The Manchester United midfielder has been openly flirting with the La Liga giants claiming it would be a 'dream' to play there and reports suggest he is on Zinedine Zidane's transfer shortlist ahead of the summer window.

The Real Madrid boss has spoken about the World Cup winner in glowing terms, admitting he likes the United midfielder "a lot" and now midfielder Casemiro has spoken about the 26-year-old.

"A world class player at his level can play in any team. If he comes to Madrid he would be welcomed very well -- we know he is a great player," Casemiro told ESPN.

"For sure he is now thinking about his next Champions League game, that is type of person he is. We must respect Manchester United also."

The Real Madrid midfielder was also asked about a move for Eden Hazard, as well as Pogba.

"I always say that Madrid must have the best players, as this is the best club in the world," he replied. "But it is not for me to say which players should be signed.

"The president [Florentino Perez] and other people are very prepared for that. But they are both very good players, and very good players are always welcome at Real Madrid."

Pogba was asked about playing for Madrid again following the defeat to Barcelona in the Champions League quarter final first leg.

“I won’t answer that," he replied to a question about pulling on a Real Madrid shirt. "I will only speak about the game, nothing else.”

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer said before the Barcelona game that he had no doubts about Pogba's future.

"At Paul's best he can run a game like this. I cannot see him not playing for Manchester United next season," the United manager replied.
