Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane responds to Paul Pogba Manchester United transfer rumours

Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane has responded to Paul Pogba's comments about playing at the La Liga side under the Frenchman being a 'dream for anyone.'

The World Cup winner has been openly flirting with a move to the La Liga giants during the international break when he said: "Like I've always said, Real Madrid is a dream for anyone. It's one of the biggest clubs in the world."

Reports suggest his agent Mino Raiola is trying to engineer a move for the midfielder this summer and returning Real boss Zidane was asked about Pogba's comments in his pre-Huesca press conference.

"I like Pogba a lot and it's not new," Zidane said. "I know him personally, he's different, he contributes that few can do, because of his qualities, he can attack and defend, but he's not my player and he's a player United and we have to respect him.

"He has always said that after Manchester, if something comes out he has always liked Madrid, but especially Madrid, more than Zidane."

Raiola tried to get Pogba out of Old Trafford last summer after his relationship with Jose Mourinho deteriorated but when the Portuguese was sacked in December Pogba spoke about how happy he was at the club.

"At the moment I'm happy in Manchester. I play. There's a new coach," Pogba said last week.
