Real Madrid 'make Paul Pogba transfer decision' and more Manchester United transfer rumours

Real Madrid have reportedly accepted that they will not sign Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba this summer.

Real wanted Pogba after the Frenchman admitted he wanted to leave Old Trafford. United have always insisted they have no plans to sell Pogba, and ended the English transfer window without signing any new midfielders.

There is still a possibility Pogba could leave before September 2, when the European transfer windows close, but that would leave Ole Gunnar Solskjaer without a replacement.

And now AS say Pogba has received a ‘resounding no’ from United with regards to his wish to leave the club. As a result, the report says Real have now accepted they will not be able to sign Pogba this summer.

Pogba played a starring role in United's opening Premier League win over Chelsea, and has two years remaining on his contract at Old Trafford.

Meanwhile, United and Fenerbahce are in talks over the possibility of Marcos Rojo joining the Turkish club on loan, claim Posta.

United were hoping to offload Rojo after the arrival of Harry Maguire in central defence, but a possible deadline day move to Everton did not materialise.

He has two years left on his current £190,000-a-week deal at Old Trafford, and is likely to leave before the September 2 deadline if a move can be agreed.

Finally, United's summer transfer target Sean Longstaff is set to be offered a new long-term contract at Newcastle, The Times report.

United were after Longstaff this summer, but cooled their interest in the central midfielder after being way off in their valuation of the player this summer.
