Liverpool’s January transfer window has gone much quieter than many would have predicted.
The majority of the talk has been dominated by the apparent need to sign a new centre-back, but as of yet no new faces have arrived at Anfield.
However, the lack of signings hasn’t stopped rumours swirling about potential new recruits who Jurgen Klopp could look to bring to Merseyside.
Here is a round-up of the latest Liverpool transfer rumours...
Liverpool 'eye Real Madrid starlet'
It is being claimed from reports in Spain that Liverpool are expressing an interest in signing Real Madrid forward Vinicius Jr.
According to OkDiario, the Reds as well as Arsenal are said to be keen on adding the Brazilian youngster to their ranks, though it’s unclear whether any deal would be this month or in the summer.
The report goes on to say that Liverpool attempted to make contact with Vinicius’ agent last summer, but ultimately failed in their approach to bring the player to Anfield.
Real Madrid are said to be willing to cut their losses and sell some of their young stars, in a bid to raise funds in order to pay for the signing of Kylian Mbappe from Paris Saint-Germain.
Spurs 'compete for centre-back signing'
Liverpool reportedly have competition from Tottenham Hotspur for the signing of Sven Botman.
The Lille defender was linked with a move to Anfield in the early days of the transfer window, but those rumours were soon knocked back by club sources.
According to Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano (via football.london ), Jose Mourinho has added Botman to his list of possible targets to look at over the next few weeks and months.
Serie A club consider Liverpool loan
Liverpool striker Divock Origi is reportedly being targeted by Inter Milan in a potential loan deal.
According to Corriere dello Sport, Inter have been presented with a opportunity to sign Origi on loan due to his lack of playing time at Anfield.
Origi has struggled for regular minutes on the pitch this season, having been restricted mostly to cameo appearances, if not just sitting on the bench as an unused substitute.
