Real Madrid fans showed no mercy to Barcelona after the club posted on social media to mark the end of the year.
The official Barca Twitter account uploaded an image of the scoreboard at the Bernabeu reading Madrid 0-3 Barcelona with the caption "Memories of 2019..."
But fans of Los Blancos were not going to let their rivals get away with that one.
Scores of Madrid supporters replied to the post from yesterday - with many of them choosing to remind the Catalan giants of their Champions League defeat at the hands of Liverpool.
Despite trailing 3-0 from the first leg at Camp Nou, the Reds put four unanswered goals past Barca in last season's semi-final.
It sent Jurgen Klopp's side on to a Madrid showdown against Spurs which they duly won 2-0.
Liverpool went on to win the Super Cup against Chelsea and were more recently crowned world champions after beating Flamengo in the FIFA Cup World Cup.
The Reds are next in action on Thursday against Sheffield United in the league.
Liverpool are currently flying high at the top of the table with a 13-point lead and a game in hand over Leicester City in second.
