Real Madrid eyeing Timo Werner, Bruno Fernandes keen on Sporting exit - European rumours

The January transfer window is up and running as clubs brace themselves for the madness that a transfer window normally brings.

Sides around Europe will no doubt be looking to strengthen their squads for the second half of the campaign.

With that in mind, we take a look at some of the latest rumours from around Europe.

Fernandes latest

Manchester United and Sporting Lisbon are still yet to agree on a fee for Bruno Fernandes.

The two clubs, according to The Mail , are believed to have recently held face-to-face talks over a potential deal this month and Fernandes is said to be keen on a move to Old Trafford.

But according to the report, the two clubs are still ‘some way apart’ in their valuation of the player, with the Portuguese side thought to be holding out for a fee in the region of £64million for the attacking midfielder.

Werner attracting interest from Real

RB Leipzig striker Timo Werner has emerged as a target for Real Madrid, according to Sky in Germany .

Werner, who has been linked with a host of clubs from around Europe including Liverpool and Chelsea, is one of the hottest properties in the Bundesliga and has already scored 18 goals in 17  this season.

Although he still has three years remaining on his contract with the German side, Los Blancos are believed to be considering whether to make a move this month.

Eriksen agrees Inter deal

Christian Eriksen is believed to be a step closer to leaving Tottenham Hotspur this month after reaching an agreement in principle with Inter Milan.

The playmaker, according to a report in The Times , has been offered a four-year contract by the Italian club, thought to be worth around £100,000 a week after tax.

Tottenham chief Daniel Levy is trying hard to sell Eriksen this month, to prevent the former Ajax star from leaving for free at the end of the season.
