Alvaro Odriozola’s maiden season with Real Madrid has reportedly been brought to a premature end after suffering a season-ending injury during training.
The Spanish full-back looks set to miss the remainder of the campaign after breaking his collarbone in a freak training ground incident.
According to AS , Odriozola came off worse in a challenge with Vinicius Junior, falling awkwardly and ultimately suffering a shoulder fracture.
Madrid confirmed the blow on Friday but did not say how long he is expected to be sidelined for.

A statement said: “Following tests carried out today on alvaro Odriozola by the Real Madrid Medical Services, he's been diagnosed with a fracture of his left clavicle. His recovery will be monitored.”
Recovery time for these types of injuries is often at least a month, and there are just six games left of the league season to play.
The last of which sees Madrid host Real Betis on Sunday May 19, making it unlikely that Odriozola will recover in time.

In his absence, Daniel Carvajal is likely to feature regularly at right-back for Madrid until the end of the campaign.
