Real Madrid have enquired about the availability of Chelsea striker Armando Broja.
The Spanish giants are looking to offload several forwards and hope to add a number of young strikers to their squad for the coming season, with Broja among their targets.
Chelsea, though, are now preparing Broja to be part of Thomas Tuchel’s squad for the coming season after initially considering bids for the 20-year-old.
The striker is back training with the first team ahead of tonight’s friendly against Udinese, having been promoted back into the group after transfer interest from elsewhere.
A summer exit for Broja cannot be ruled out, though, with Madrid, Everton, Newcastle and several clubs in Italy keen on poaching the Albania international.
West Ham also remain interested but would prefer a loan deal, after splashing out more than £30million on Sassuolo target man Gianluca Scamacca, which Chelsea would not entertain.
Broja has been given a shirt number for the new season along with fellow former loanee Michy Batshuayi - with both players pushing to make Tuchel’s squad this season - though the likes of Billy Gilmour, Ethan Ampadu and Kenedy remain out in the cold.
It signals that all three players could leave this summer, with Gilmour exploring his options. Ampadu is reportedly being targeted by Serie A minnows Spezia and Kenedy could move back to his native Brazil.
Chelsea wonderkid Levi Colwill could also still leave this summer. His future remains uncertain with Crystal Palace pushing hard to win the race against Leicester, Southampton and Brighton.
They see the 19-year-old as the future of their defence but the move remains blocked as Chelsea look for new defenders this summer.
Chelsea are intent on giving Tuchel what he wants, which is two more centre-backs and a wing-back, despite their setbacks over Nathan Ake, Matthijs de Ligt and Jules Kounde.
