Jose Mourinho may become irritated by reports emerging from the continent that suggest Real Madrid are considering a raid on Tottenham.
Spurs have conducted plenty of business with Los Blancos in recent years, which included signing Sergio Reguilon and Gareth Bale last summer.
While the latter has struggled to perform during his loan spell, Reguilon has settled into Mourinho's ranks quickly and has become an integral member of the squad.
That's not been too surprising, considering he was excellent at Sevilla last season, but it seems Zinedine Zidane's side are only just realising his effectiveness.
The Spanish side have options in the next two years to rectify their mistake, possessing an option to resign the full-back for a fee of €45m (£40.4m) in the summers of both 2021 and 2022.
According to Sport, Real are considering activating that option at the first opportunity, which falls at the end of the current season.
While that fee would give Spurs £10m profit on the price they paid last year, it would certainly be a major blow to Mourinho's plans.
On the plus side, the report makes it clear that this would all depend on Reguilon and his plans, with it unlikely he'd even consider a return to the Santiago Bernabeu if he wasn't guaranteed regular action.
Those opportunities are unlikely to be assured as Ferland Mendy has been a regular staple in Real's side, while Marcelo is also on the books.
