Real Madrid 'confident' about landing Manchester United's Paul Pogba

Real Madrid are confident of landing both Paul Pogba and Eden Hazard during this summer transfer window, according to reports.

The Times claims Zinedine Zidane, the Real boss, will get his wish with the Manchester United midfielder on the Spanish club's radar.

It is reported a senior Madrid source has revealed Los Blancos will land Hazard - who may well have played his final game for Chelsea when his two goals sealed a 4-1 Europa League final victory over Arsenal. The same report claims Madrid want to consider factoring in some of their current players to a deal.

The Times claim Gareth Bale would be the dream scenario as Zidane hopes to offload the Welshman while James Rodriguez, Isco and goalkeeper Keylor Navas were all mentioned as possibilities to be included in a potential deal.

MEN Sport understands a deal for Welshman Bale is no longer United's priority, while the Reds are adamant that Pogba will not be sold.  The 26-year-old is contracted to United until June 2021 and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer views him as one of his key men.

In terms of potential midfield recruits for United this summer, they have been monitoring Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Adrien Rabiot, who will soon be a free agent.

Rabiot, 24, has not played for PSG since December amid his refusal to sign a new contract and the MEN understands United remain interested in signing the France international as he decides on his next club.

United want to replace Ander Herrera with a central midfield player and according to Le10Sport claim have offered "a staggering £170,000-a-week" to Rabiot.

The 23-year-old is certain to leave PSG in the summer, with Juventus, Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur all touted for a move.

Reports in French media total the annual salary offered by United to Rabiot at around €10million (£8.86million).
