Real Madrid can play at the Wanda Metropolitano, says Atletico president Enrique Cerezo

Atletico Madrid president Enrique Cerezo has offered Real Madrid the chance to play at the Wanda Metropolitano for the remainder of the season.

Los Blancos have received permission from LaLiga to finish the campaign at the Estadio Alfredo Di Stefano, which is based at the their training ground, as renovation work goes on at the Santiago Bernabeu.

But, asked at a LaLiga event on Wednesday if he would be willing to let the Rojiblancos' rivals play at their stadium, Cerezo said: "I think nobody doubts that we are at Real Madrid's disposition."

And he added: "Nobody should doubt it."

Real Madrid played home games at the old Estadio Metropolitano in 1946 during construction of the Santiago Bernabeu and, due to a stadium ban, also contested one match as hosts at the Vicente Calderon in 1994.

However, Standard Sport understands Real are not interested in taking up Atletico on their offer and are happy to play at the Alfredo Di Stefano, usually home to their youth team Castilla, which has been fitted with VAR technology ahead of Sunday's LaLiga game against Eibar.
