Real Madrid coach Zinedine Zidane has refused to reveal details of his conversation with Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba after the two men were pictured together in Dubai.

Photographs of Zidane and his long-time transfer target Pogba emerged on Friday and the Madrid boss was asked about their meeting in his pre-match press conference ahead of Saturday's trip to Mallorca.

"Total chance," Zidane said. "He was there and I was, too. And, as we know each other, we spoke."

"I'm not going to tell you what about, that's personal," he added. "We have known each other for a long time. We crossed paths, we stopped and we spoke."

Zidane was then asked if Pogba could operate in Casemiro's position in future and said: "All clubs have a lot of options. When the time comes, the clubs will decide."

The troubles in Catalonia were also brought up in the Frenchman's press conference as both Barcelona and Real Madrid agreed on a new date for El Clasico amid political tension in the region.

"What I think, as coach of Real Madrid, is this: we will play when they tell us," he said. "I don't like violence. Nobody does. There are images that are always difficult to look at, but I'm not going to get into that."
