Real Housewives of Cheshire announce new housewife - and she's married to a popstar

The Real Housewives of Cheshire are back for a new series and they're bringing a new housewife to the fold.

Debbie Davies, Hanna Kinsella, Lauren Simon, Lystra Adams, Nicole Sealey, Rachel Lugo, Seema Malhotra and Tanya Bardsley will all return for the 14th series of the ITVBe reality show.

They will be joined by Sheena Lynch, the wife of Boyzone star Shane Lynch.

Sheena has been married to pop heart-throb Shane for 14 years.

She was a successful backing singer for Westlife, Blur and Miss Dynamite and now runs a high-end performance car business, and she played Miranda in the long-running Manchester-based comedy drama Cold Feet.

The couple moved to the Wirral in Cheshire two years ago with daughters Billie, 12, and Marley, nine, after 20 years spent in London.

In April Shane and Sheena opened an Irish bar in Knutsford - after making Cheshire their new home.

Along with their long-time friend Nathan Gerhold they renovated a 300-year-old building on King Street in the town to become D13 Irish bar named after the Dublin postcode where Shane grew up.

Sheena, 41, said previously about the project: “When Shane first came up with the idea I was not mad about it as I didn't know anyone up here, all my family live down south, it felt like a huge migration, it felt massive to me.

"But then I put my big girl pants on and realised it made complete sense for us as a family to move up here, it was going to be an opportunity for our girls to grow up somewhere where we can actually walk to school, it made sense to come to a place where everyone knows each other in the community.

"And it has been absolutely brilliant, the people are so warm and friendly up here.”

Sheena said about her reality TV role: “I feel so lucky and it is an absolute honour to be joining The Real Housewives of Cheshire.

"Since lockdown I promised myself I would try to do things that are unlike anything I have done before...and boy this is one hell of a ride!"

The new series, produced by NBC Universal International Studios’ Monkey, will be followed by the popular reunion show hosted by Brian Dowling.

In the new series fans will see the Housewives rocked when Tanya suffers a sudden health crisis, Lauren takes her first steps into newly single life with daughter Gigi and Rachel tries to blend her two families while training for an upcoming boxing match.

Meanwhile, Lystra’s business empire continues to go from strength to strength and an outrageous photo shoot from Hanna raises eyebrows.

Seema celebrates turning 50 as she continues to manage her own health issues and psychic Debbie faces reality when her only daughter leaves home.

Seema takes her fellow housewives on a trip to Edinburgh and Lystra, Hanna and Nicole finally manage to bury the hatchet.
